Professor Padma Shukla passes away (Mon Jan 28 00:00:00 GMT 2013)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Professor Padma Shukla, Editor of Journal of Plasma Physics. Padma was in New Delhi to receive the Hind Rattan 'Jewel of India' award when he suffered a massive heart attack on 26 January. His enthusiasm, cheerfulness and humanity will be sincerely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. A full obituary will be published within JPP in due course.
