Michael Miller, Europe and the Maritime World: A Twentieth-Century History (New York, 2012) The Chandler Book Award is given once every three years to the best work in the field of business history published in the United States, as determined by the Editorial Advisory Board of the Business History Review.

IN MEMORIUM: THOMAS K. McCRAW (1940–2012).
Thomas K. McCraw, Isidor Straus Professor of Business History, Emeritus, at Harvard Business School, and former editor of the Business History Review, died on Saturday, November 3, 2012, following a long illness. Tom served as editor and coeditor of the Business History Review from 1994 to 2005. He was a member of the Harvard Business School faculty from 1976 to his retirement in 2006. Tom was a gifted teacher, a prize-winning and prolific author, a remarkable editor, and a friend and mentor to generations within the business history community, and he will be deeply missed.

We are delighted to announce Business History Review has increased its impact factor to 0.684 (from 0.353, an increase of over 93%) in the latest citation report issued by Thomson Reuters. It has maintained its 78th position in a growing category of now 101 journals (up from 87 in the 2009 report).
