Published for the Association for Child Psychology and Psychiatry
The Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry is internationally recognised to be the leading journal covering both child and adolescent psychology and psychiatry. Articles published include both experimental and theoretical studies, together with epidemiological and methodological investigations, of normal development and developmental psychopathology. An important function of the Journal is to bring together diverse approaches, with the aim of gaining further understanding of these subjects, and contributions are welcomed from both clinical and basic scientists. As well as publishing papers on empirical research, the Journal regularly commissions annotations on new developments in relevant subject areas, and practitioner reviews, which provide in-depth analysis of clinical interventions. The first issue of the year is devoted to the Annual Research Review, which contains detailed and authoritative articles on current and future research trends in the development and psychopathology of children and adolescents.
